Timeless Blessings Keepsake box

Huge box that i created for a christmas present for someone special.  its a secret till after christmas lol..  Uses a ton of flowers from wild orchid crafts and I am roses.  Majority of the yellow flowers are from I am roses except for the big yellow ones. The Hinge handle i used on this box i received inspiration from a few girls on facebook who did that idea.  I love it since i am always putting door pulls on my projects.  This will be so much cheaper lol.. I used on the base of the box the green paper from websters pages park drive collection and the torn pieces around the sides of the box are from older websters collections.  Any way i hope you enjoy the box and I thank you for stopping by.  Much love and Hugs, Merry christmas and happy new year.

Perpetual Calendar

I love this idea i received from a very talented lady on Face Book named Kerry Schnitzer Duff.   They do make a fabulous christmas present because it is the gift that keeps on giving.  A Calendar that can be used forever and ever and even past on to a younger generation as a keep sake.  To me that is an amazing present to give someone.  Not only is it handmade but it keeps on giving and looks sweet on your desk at work or at home.

The papers i used for this calendar are by Websters Pages, PARK DRIVE.  I love this paper and i just want to keep ordering but i will just have to hoard the rest that i have for now lol.. i painted a wooden box that i got at micheals craft store white, inside and out.  I also got the little feet from micheals craft store in the wood section and painted them a light pink, then covered in Tim Holtz rock candy and put Martha Stewart white irredecent sprinkles on top to dry and give it a nice shabby girly feel.  All the letters and numbers are from THICKERS i had in my stash and i painted them all white to keep with the shabby feel.  I used chipboard for the number blocks, days of the week and months and painted all of that white before applying the papers..  All of the flowers are from Wild orchid crafts.  The title plate by Tim Holtz i painted antique white and the butterflies are from a martha stewart punch.  I hope you like it and thank you for stopping by.  Hugs carrie

the beautiful laces i used are from Sara Mcdowell in some happy mail she sent that i just love how feminine they make the project and of course some beautiful prima dangles for an added touch.

well it has been a while since i last posted so i figured i would do an update on some of my latest projects.  My favorite is a Journal i did combining ladies diaries and songbird by g45.  I just love how G45 makes all there papers to go with each other.  On the picture i used Tim Holtz Distress crackle paint in rock candy to give it a crackle effect for aging and it gives it a nice shimmery effect.  My friend Ann Everbloom Crafts did a tutorial on it and i went out and bought some cause i love the look of it so much.  So i hope you enjoy some of my latest projects.  Thanks for visiting...

The second is an inspiration board i created,  I filled the glassin bag full of Tim Holtz adage tickets so everyday i can change it to suite my mood or what inspiration i would like for the day.

Here is a Canvas layout i did of my gorgeous Niece Maggie using Websters Parkdrive collection which i love.  the colors are so soft and pretty.

And for a little Holiday fun here is a clipboard To DO LIST for christmas that i have hanging on my fridge.

Prima Romance Novel 6x6 canvas inspired by Ann Everbloomcrafts

so I had these 6x6 set of three canvas's covered with one sheet of papers from the romance novel line and i just did not know what to do with them.  Well my friend Ann Everbloomcrafts from facebook did up these gorgeous tags using that line and let me tell you I stared at them forever and it hit me like a brick to try and use her tags as my inspiration.  So that is what i did with one of the three today.  I am happy with the way it turned out and it was so fun doing all the layering.  Now to stare at her tags for a bit longer so i can get the other two done lol... Thank you so much Ann for always sharing your beautiful creations and inpiring... Thank you for taking a peek and big Hugs....

And then for a little extra fun i thought i would do up a canvas Halloween sign for my wall to get festive.  I was gonna hang it on my door but then someone said that they would steal it from me, and i thought you know that might happen so on my wall it stays safe lol..  Hope you like  it.  thank you..

Dream Create Inspire Canvas Sign

Here is a 12x12 canvas i created for a friends scrappy room.  She wanted pink and purples on it.  I used alot of prima fairy belle from this line because i find gray and purple go so well together and it also had a beautiful soft pink paper in the line.  i used two of the journaling tags from the collection.  The flowers I used are from Wild orchid crafts and the Gray flower with the pearl center i bought form Leslie Owens zibbet shop.  I can't get enough of those sugar blossoms.  i used a gray pearl spray from my  local dollar store which i love on this project.  The pink Knob is from Michaels when they had bins at their store for shabby chic door pulls.  I also used a white Michaels frame from the dollar bin.  The big silver key in the bottom left is from Michaels dollar bins as well.  Can't get enough of key and frames for that price.  i used Tim Holtz title plates, muse tocken and a key that has dreams on it.  i did a lot of distress to shab this project up.  I painted the canvas a light gray, then I white washed it and gentley rubbed tattered rose distress ink around the canvas in spots.  I used white acyrilic paint to distress all the papere with tattered rose distress ink.  I used crackle medium on certain spot on the canvas, and then topped it with white paint, and then added tim holtz distress crackle in tattered rose on top of that.  I am please with the way it turned out and I hope you enjoy it.  Thank you for visiting and having a peek.  HUGS.

Altered book stack using Teresa Collins vintage findings

ok so here was my second challenge i gave to myself, yup to do a stacked book set.  I have wanted to do them for quite a while and I was inspired to give it a try by all the talented crafters out there doing them up as project.  They just look so gorgeous I had to try.  It was alot of work, but i am please with the way it came out for my first try.  It is a good way to learn how to do something and to realize easier ways if you ever want to do them again for a second time...I used regular hard cover books that I already had read instead of trying to make my own from cardboard.  It was so much easier.  I painted them in gesso first so the papers would adhere better to the book covers.  I wanted a vintage feel and i just purchased Vintage Findings papers by Teresa Collins, i love the colors and design of this paper.  It goes perfect in my living room on my expresso colored coffee table.  So i hope you enjoy my project and i thank you so much for dropping by. Hugs

Creating is fun baby themed blog hop

Here are two baby projects i created using gorgeous lace from Martha's zibbet shop at http://www.zibbet.com/createdbymartha

The first one is of my beautiful niece maggie when she was a baby using Simple stories FABULOUS collection which i love because it is so bright and cheery and i had a chance to use my beautiful orange lace from marthas shop which i love.  It is a 12x12 canvas layout that i painted hot pink and then had some fun around the edges sponging on some orange yellow and brown.  I love doing layouts on canvas that way i can put them up in my scrappy space without having to get them framed. The second 12x12 layout is of my niece as well using Prima songbird and MME be happy collection.  I used small lace trim around the page and to frame the picture from marthas shop.

Thank you for visiting and don't forget to leave a comment for a chance to win a 25 dollar gift certificate from creating is fun...
